A full patrol accompanied by parents and leaders had a great time doing a 12km circular hike from Ashridge north to Ivinghoe Beacon at the end of March. As well as being one of the more prominent high points in this part of England, it marks one end of the Ridgeway.

While there was a stiff breeze we were also treated to fantastic 360 views including a good look at the chalk lion of Whipsnade Zoo. There was plenty of opportunity to practice some simple navigation while getting some kilometres into the legs and having fun in the woods.
